Personal Statement

My name is Sophie Sohval, and I’m a hospitalist at Weill-ÂÜÀòÉçÆƽâ°æ, where I have the privilege of caring for patients during some of the most critical moments in their lives. I am deeply committed to patient-centered care and evidence-based medicine, and I strive to combine clinical expertise with compassion, ensuring that every decision we make is tailored to your individual needs and grounded in the best available science. I see each patient as a partner in their care, and I’m here to listen, advocate, and guide you through your hospital stay with empathy and respect. I was drawn to medicine by a lifelong curiosity about the human body and a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Within hospitalist medicine, I am interested in point-of-care-ultrasound (POCUS) and medical education among medical students and residents.
