About Miloni Parekh, M.D.
My goal as a hospitalist is to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while actively contributing to the education of future healthcare professionals. I strive to provide sound clinical management for my patients and am continually seeking to improve my skills. I am also committed to advancing medical education, with experience in curriculum development and a passion for working with medical students and residents. Additionally, my background in Urban Bioethics has provided me with a valuable perspective, which I try to incorporate into my practice to better understand and address the social factors that influence patient well-being.
Dr. Miloni Parekh is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with strong interests in delivering high-quality patient care and medical education. She earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Cellular Biology & Neuroscience from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. She then received her Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a Masters of Arts in Urban Bioethics (MAUB) from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University.
She went on to complete her Internal Medicine Residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS). Dr. Parekh has a strong background in medical education, and during her training, she helped develop the Medical Education track for her residency. To further refine her skills in education, she served as a Chief Resident. Her work included developing and facilitating curricula, providing focused feedback, leading didactic conferences, and teaching medical students and residents on inpatient services.
Dr. Parekh also has an extensive background focused on Quality Improvement. Her prior experiences include participating in several hospital committees aimed at Quality Improvement and Patient Safety for the Rutgers RWJ University Hospital health system and serving as a physician mentor for internal medicine residents during their Morbidity and Mortality Grand Rounds Conferences. She is dedicated to providing excellent patient-centered care, which is strongly rooted in her training in urban bioethics which provides her a unique lens in viewing patients holistically with an aim to better understand and address the social factors that affect patient care.
