Personal Statement

I am a hematologist with special expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with bleeding and clotting issues – also known as hemostasis and thrombosis disorders.  I also specialize in the care of patients with blood coagulation abnormalities, antiphospholipid syndrome, issues with anticoagulant and antithrombotic therapies, and women with hematologic complications of pregnancy – particularly recurrent pregnancy loss.  I am recognized as an expert in this field, have contributed to significant research, and have educated physicians at all levels, from students through practicing physicians, on the diagnosis and treatment of these disorders.Although I have cared for many patients over the course of my career, I approach each and every individual with care and seek to combine medical excellence with compassion.
